Below you will find answers to many common questions about #GivingTuesday.
What is #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y as a global day dedicated to giving back. The goal was to create an annual tradition, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, where charities, families, businesses, community centers, and individuals around the world come together to celebrate generosity and to give. Tufts has been participating in its own #TuftsGivingTuesday initiative since 2013.
Why should I participate?
Your support provides crucial resources that nurture Tufts' growth and enables its faculty and students to continue to make this a Brighter World. It takes the collective annual support of alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty, and staff to ensure Tufts remains a world-class institution, supporting academics, research, scholarships, and service to others.
