600 gifts for $60,000

Here at the medical school we are ready for what we hope will  be another record breaking #TuftsGivingTuesday. Our community has risen to the occasion and issued impactful challenges in honor of this important day.

Here’s the plan: when we reach 250 gifts, Danh Nguyen, M94 will give $25,000, then former alumni association president, Tom Hedges, M75 joins the charge with his challenge to get another 250 gifts for $25,000. When we reach 500 gifts, Dean Harris Berman steps in to push us towards a record-breaking 600 gifts, with his challenge of 100 gifts for $10,000.

New this year: Double your Impact Challenges

Give to one of the priorities below and your gift will count twice: it will be counted toward the overall goal of 600 gifts AND will count toward the challenges listed below. One gift – double the impact.

Fund for Tufts Medicine Scholarship Challenge – if 150 gifts are made to the fund, Robert Fasoli, M73 and Maureen Fasoli will give $15,000 to support scholarships.

Global Health Travel Challenge – if 50 gifts are made to Global Health Travel, Kristi Miller Mahoney, MG14 will give $5,000.

Stethoscopes for Students Challenge – Tufts Medical Alumni Association Executive Council member, Pearl Wu, M92 will give $5,000 if 50 gifts are made to this program.

Clinical Skills & Medical Education Challenge – if 50 gifts are made to this fund, then Terence & Pamela Tan, M23P, M18P will give $5,000.

Microbiology ChallengeProfessor Ralph Isberg, PhD has been a #GivingTuesday champion for Microbiology from the beginning, this year he says if 40 gifts are made to the department, he will give $1,500.
