What you—what we— did yesterday on #TuftsGivingTuesday made a difference.

In a time when we can feel so far apart, the worldwide Tufts community came together. Your gift—and those from more than 8,500 others—demonstrated our commitment to today’s students and faculty. We shattered records, collectively contributing more than $3.5 million university-wide.

Thank you for being a part of this important Tufts tradition and for your commitment to building a brighter world

More than 80 challenges were completed university-wide. Our gifts supported scientists and scholars, citizens and leaders, activists and innovators. We helped create space for complex and complicated dialogueTogether, we helped build something that will last far beyond today.

This fund helps provide essential needs, including: medical co-pays, laptops, storage fees, noise canceling headphones and many things we can’t even predict yet. Tufts' six identity-based resource centers along with the BEST and BLAST programs offer students opportunities for events, discussion, and leadership on issues of identity, diversity, and social justice. Holly Kelly (J88) and her husband Andrew Lipsky, the Tufts Alumni Council and Ann Evans (J62) believe in the important role these centers play on campus. Your gift can help secure the challenge gift (which will be split equally).

COVID-19 Response Challenge #2
Ensuring the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and neighbors during these challenging times is paramount. As we welcomed students back to campus, we worked hard to develop and fund a robust testing plan, comprehensive contact tracing protocols, in-depth cleaning and rigorous housing plans. Our entire community is committed to working together to respond and adjust as the situation demands. These are different times which require innovation, imagination, resilience and resources. Your gift helps support the additional costs the university is incurring and also helps secure another challenge gift from Mark Pollak (A75, A16P, A19P) & Janet Meyers (A16P, A19P).
